Creamy baked potatoes, enriched with feta cheese, ham and eggs makes the perfect choice for lunch or dinner. Very tasty and nourishing, you can serve these French potatoes as a main dish, with your favorite salad.
You can prepare French potatoes without eggs and ham. In this case serve French potatoes as a side dish, with grilled meat and salad.
We love the full version, with feta cheese, ham and eggs.
The below ingredients are for a 24/24 baking dish.

Ingredients for French potatoes:

- 8 medium potatoes
- 5 hard boiled eggs
- 200gr smoked ham
- 500gr sour cream
- 100gr feta cheese
- salt and pepper to taste

How to make French potatoes

Wash the potatoes and place them into a large pot with water and salt. Cover the pan with a lid. Place the pot over heat and bring to a boil. Cook until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork. Drain the potatoes and allow to cool.
Meanwhile, boil the eggs for 7-8 minutes. Set aside and allow to cool.
Grate the feta cheese, cut the ham into thin pieces and season the sour cream with salt and pepper.
Now you can assemble the French potatoes.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into slices. Place 1 layer of potato slices into a lightly oiled baking dish. Sprinkle a little salt.
Peel the eggs and cut them into slices. Place 1 layer of egg slices over the potatoes.
Sprinkle half of ham. 
Sprinkle 4 tablespoons of sour cream and half of feta cheese.
Repeat with potatoes, eggs, ham, sour cream and cheese.
The last layer is made from potatoes.
Cover with sour cream.
Place the baking dish into the preheated oven and bake at 180ºC for 30-40 minutes.
Serve warm.
